M i N U T 8 S <br />of <br />THB MBE^7::JG <br />of <br />THB PLANNING COt~lISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />August 5, 1964 <br />The special meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at 8:03 P.H. on <br />Wednesday, August 5, 1964, by Chairman Landon. <br />The regularlg scheduled meeting of July 29, 1964, was cancelled due to a lack of <br />quorum and scheduled for August S, 1964. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Co~ieaioner Antonini <br />LDLHAO <br />Chairman Landon <br />Absent: Commissioner Johnston <br />Secretary False <br />Commissioner Rega arrived at 8:20 P.M. <br />City Engineer Alan Campbell acted as Secretary Pro Tempore <br />for this meeting. <br />On motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the ffinutes of <br />the meeting of Jvly 22, 1964, were approved se presented by unanimous vote. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of D & V Builders, Inc. <br />6000 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, for a Variance from Section 18.603, Ordinance Db. <br />309, in order to allow construction of a swim club with a reduced aide yard, at <br />5014 Golden Road is an R-1 District; and for an amendment to Conditional Dae Permit <br />UP 64-6 leaned for said swim club at 5014 Golden Road to a11aw a revised site plea. <br />Mr. Campbell, in giving the staff report, stated that gn error in staking the <br />property line resulted in the swimming pool and the swim club building being coa- <br />atructed 15 feet from its planned location. The swim club building has bean torn <br />down and rebuilt is its proper location. Mr. Ted Weaver, representing D & V <br />Boulders, was ptoaeat in the audience. Mr. Weaver co:mnented briefly on cortectioae <br />being made at thle time and pointed out these corrections on a map for the members <br />of the Cammiesion. There being no further c~~~te from the audience, it was <br />moved by Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried, that <br />the public hearing be closed. After discussion by the Commisaioa, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, the following resolution <br />was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 329 <br />WRERBAS, the application of D & V Builders, tnc., 6000 Telegraph Avenue, <br />for a Variance from Sactioa 18.603, Ordinance No. 309, in oreler <br />to allow construction of a bwim club with a reduced aide yard, at 5014 <br />Golden Road in an R-1 District; and for as amendment to Conditional Dsa <br />Permit UP 64-6 issued for said swim club at 5014 Golden Road to allow a <br />revised site plan; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />R830LVSD, rhea the application for a Variance be granted with the following <br />conditions: <br />1. The first 30' + of fence northerly of the future church site <br />shall be set back 15' as shown on the approved Bite plea. <br />2. Fence shall have maxims height of six feat. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of Wm. F. Thompson, <br />750 Misador Court, for a Variance from Section 6.500, Ordinance No. 309, is order <br />to extend a fence six feet into the sideyard setback at the abovs address, in ao <br />
