Zoning Permit application by deleting the body shop from the site plan. City <br />Engineer Campbell pointed out that a LO-ft. front-yard setback ie required in a <br />C-G District, which would require a Variance in this instance. After discussion <br />by the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner <br />Lozano, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of those Commieaion- <br />era preeent: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 345 <br />WHEREAS, the application of J.J. Brae, 4377 First St., for a Zoning <br />Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscape Approval <br />in order to construct canopy end body shop additions to an existing <br />automobile ea lea and service facility at 235 Main St., in a C-G District, <br />hee come before this Commission; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVID, that the above-named Zoning Permit is hereby granted subject to <br />the following conditions: <br />1. Trees moat be planted along the southerly lot line, and <br />on the westerly aide of the property. Lower landscaping <br />in the form of ahsuba or smell trees must be planted <br />along the planter strip fronting Main Street, all as <br />indicated on the approved site plan. <br />2. The proposed "new body shop" is eliminated from the site <br />plan ae approved. This portion of the plan may be re- <br />activated at a later date. <br />3. The proposed "new canopy 'A "' is approved subject to <br />the issuance of a Variance regarding the front-yard <br />setback of said structure. <br />Regarding the next item on the agenda, Consideration of Land Uae; Proposed Annexa- <br />tion No. 36 (Araaudon Property, Sunol Blvd.), Mr. Falea stated he had received a <br />telephone communication from the applicant requesting that the matter be continued <br />to the meeting of October 14. It was moved by Commissioner Rega, seconded by <br />Commissioner Johnston, and carried, that the above matter be continued to the <br />meeting of October 14, 1964. <br />Mr. Falea reminded the Commission of the public heariag on the General Plan by the <br />Alameda County Planning Commission on the application of Volk-McLain Communities, <br />Inc., to be held at the Hayward Veteran's Memorial Building, September 28, at 1:30 <br />P.M. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of Com- <br />miaeioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, end carried, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 9:37 P.M., to meet again on Wednesday, October 14, 1964, at 8:00 P.M. <br />
