M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEMfING <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />November 12, 1964 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M., on Thursday, November 12, 1964, by Chairman Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Antonini <br />Johnston <br />Lozano <br />Raga <br />Chairman Landon <br />Secretary Fales <br />Ulon motion of Commissioner Lozano, eeconded by Commissioner Antonini, the minutes <br />of the meeting of October 28, 1964, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />Chairmen Landon opened the public hearing on the application of Pleasanton Mille, <br />Inc., P.O. Box 397, Pleasanton, for a Conditional Uae Permit under Section 4.303, <br />Ordinance No. 309, in order to conettuc[ a steel grain storage facility on property <br />located in the vicinity of Mohr and Oakland Avenues, in an A District, which was <br />continued from the meeting of October 28. Mr. Falea, in giving the staff report, <br />quoted from Section 17.609 of Ord. No. 309, and said that although normally a <br />Variance would be required with respect to lot area, width and rear yard, the City <br />Attorney has stated that this situation could be construed ae an extension of e <br />non-conforming use which existed prior to annexation of the subject property to the <br />City, and, therefore, No Variance would be required. The staff recommends approval <br />of the subject Conditional Uae Permit with a time limit, and subject to all other <br />ordinances, rules and regulations of the City. Mr. D.E. Douglas and Mr. Frank <br />Brady, representing Pleasanton Mille, Inc., were present in the audience, and aug- <br />geated a time limit of ten to fifteen years. There being no further comments from <br />the audience, it was moved by Co~iesioner Rega, eeconded by Commissioner Lozano, <br />and carried, that the public hearing be tinned. After discussion by the Commission, <br />upon motion of Commissioner Rega, eeconded by Commissioner Lozano, the following <br />resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 359 <br />WREREAS, the application of Pleasanton Mille, Inc., P.O. Box 397, <br />Pleasanton, for a Conditional Use Permit under Section 4.303, <br />Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct a steel grain storage facility <br />on property Located in the vicinity of Mohr and Oakland Avenues, in an <br />A District, has come before this Commi.aeion; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the above-named Conditional Uae Permit ie hereby approved <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Said Conditional Uee Permit ie issued for a period <br />of fifteen years. <br />2. The applicant moat meet all other applicable rules, <br />regulations and ordinances of the City. <br />The neat item on the agenda was the application of Pleasanton Investors, 582 Market <br />Street, San Francisco, for a Zoning Permit with Planned Unit Development Approval <br />for the area of Tract No. 2639. Mr. Fales, in presenting the staff report, re- <br />viewed the requiramente of Ordinance No. 309, as set forth in Section 19.806, <br />and stated that the General Plan for the subject area has been adopted, the region- <br />al shopping center has been zoned, and zoning for the remainder has been introduced. <br />The Preliminary subdivision plane have been reviewed by the City and the Sub- <br />division Coamittee. The Commission has previously indicated that a limitation on <br />the total number of dwelling unito would be applied ae part of the Planned Unit <br />
