M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />December 9, 1964 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />approximately B P.M., on Wednesday, December 9, 1964, by Chairman Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Antonini <br />Johnston <br />Lozano <br />Raga <br />Chairmen Landon <br />Absent Secretary Falea <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, the minutes <br />of the meeting of November 25, 1964, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the allocation of Zoning Districts t., <br />the area of Annexation No. 35, Pleasanton-Sunol Annex "D". Mr. Campbell stated <br />that the staff recommends, as has been discussed previously, that the Martin <br />property located easterly of Sunol Blvd. should be zoned R-1, and that area westerly <br />of Sunol Blvd. should be zoned I-P. City Attorney Struthers recommended the area <br />of the cemetery be zoned A (Agricultural) ae a holding zone. After discussion by <br />the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Cos~iaalouer Raga, <br />the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 366 <br />RESOLVED: <br />The City Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City <br />Council: <br />1. Annexation No. 35, Pleasanton-Sunol Annex "D", should be <br />consummated by the City Council. <br />2. Upon annexation, that area within Annexation No. 35 and <br />located easterly of Sunol Blvd., consisting of 20± acres, <br />should be zoned R-1 (Single-Family Residential) District, <br />with the stipulation that the maximum allowable population <br />density within the area will be 3.0 families per acre, and <br />that the minimum lot size within the area will be 8,000 <br />square feet. <br />3. Upon annexation, that area within Annexation No. 35 and <br />located westerly of Sunol Blvd., consisting of 105± scree, <br />should be zoned I-P (Industrial Park) District. <br />4. Upon annexation, that area within Annexation No. 35 and <br />located easterly of Sunol Blvd., consisting of a cemetery <br />with 10± acres, should be zoned A (Agricultural) District. <br />Chairman Landon then turned the discussion to formal consideration of amendments to <br />the Industrial Park Zoning District Sections of Ordinance No. 309, resulting from <br />a study session held immediately prior to this meeting. Mr. Campbell enumerated <br />the proposed changes agreed to in the study session by the Commission, staff and <br />Mr. Bruce Oliver, Attorney for Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. City Attorney <br />Struthers reminded the Commission that a public hearing date should be set, where- <br />upon it was moved by Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and Carrie <br />that January 13, 1965, be set as the public hearing date on amendments to the Indus <br />trial Park Zoning District Sections of Ordinance No. 309. Upon motion of Chairmen <br />Landon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the following resolution was adopted <br />by unanimous vote: <br />
