their original application. After further dissuasion, Company officials agreed <br />to amend their request. The Planning Commission then requested that detailed <br />plane and specifications be submitted to the staff for review. Chairman <br />Landon moved that the Planning Commission is favorably inclined to approve <br />the preliminary plane as indicated and Coaanisaioner Johnston seconded the motion. <br />The following vote was made: Commissioners Antonini, Johnston, Rega, Chairman <br />Landon - aye; Commissioner Lozano - nos. <br />After a five minute recess, the New Street Name Policy was brought up for con- <br />sideration, after a study spanning a period of several weeks. Chairman Landon <br />recommended the adoption of the Street Name policy, ae proposed by Commissioner <br />Rega, and indicated that the policy should be forwarded to the City Council for <br />their approval. <br />There were no referrals from Alameda County; no Communications; no matters for <br />the information of the Commission. <br />The next item on the agenda was a study session regarding land uses in commer- <br />cial zoning districts. The Planning Comffieaion then went into a study session <br />to review the principle permitted uses of Articles 9, 10, il, 12 and 13 of <br />Ord. 309. In this review the Commissioners agreed to amend Article 11, Section <br />11.102 to require that New Car Dealers be considered a Conditional Uae fn the <br />C-C District. Also the uses permitted under Section 11.106 of the same Article, <br />namely garages for automobile storage and minor repairs and commercial parking <br />lots were to be designated conditional commercial uses. Finally, it was re- <br />commended that Section 11.107 be amended to require that the permitted use of <br />Motor Hotels be designated as a Conditional Use in the C-C District. Article <br />13, Section 13.107, was also amended and it was decided that the principle use <br />of New and Uaed Car Salsa be designated a Conditional Uae in the C-G District. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Comtai.saioner Antonini, the follow- <br />ing resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Commissioners: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 440 <br />RESOLVED: <br />The following principle permitted uses be designated ae <br />conditional uses in Ordinance 309 <br />Article I1, Section 11.102 - New car dealers <br />Section 11.106 - Garages for automobile storage, <br />and ffinor repairs, and commercial <br />parking lots <br />Section 11.107 - Motor Hotels <br />Article 13, Section 13.107 - New and used car sales <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion by <br />Comod.aeioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11:15 P.M., to meet again on Wednesday, July 28, 1965. <br />
