Therefore Mr. Campbell said that some type of architectural site plan and landscap- <br />ing control would seem desirable. Since it appease that there mill be a consider- <br />able amount of paved open area, a basic recommendation would be for increasing <br />proposed landscaping shown, particularly through the use of trees along the pro- <br />perty lines and in the parking areas. Commissioner Antonini agreed that this was <br />an excellent recommendation, and suggested Mz. Campbell write a letter, stressing <br />the points outlined in the report. Thin suggestion was endorsed by motion of <br />those Commissioners present. <br />There were no Communications. <br />Matters for the Information of the Commission: Mr. Campbell stated that Assembly <br />Bill No. 1150 has been passed by the State Legislature and signed by the Governor. <br />This bill provides for the mandatory dedication of park lands on the part of sub- <br />dividers or the payment of fees which would be used to purchase park Lands. Mr. <br />Campbell went on to say that the Home Builders Association have prepared a commen- <br />tary on this legislation and have indicated in writing the possibility of court <br />action against any city which attempts to implement this bill. He also pointed <br />out that the cities in Alameda County have agreed to cooperate in preparing the <br />case for any city which ie sued, Mr. Struthers indicated that he ie currently <br />preparing the appropriate ordinance which would implement this legislation in <br />Pleasanton, ead'he went on to say that he ie working closely with the City <br />Attorney in Livermore so that the two ordinances may be similar, thezeby in- <br />creasing our chances for a favorable court decleion in the event that this be- <br />comes necessary. <br />On motion by Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commieaioner Rega, it was decided <br />to add three additional items to the Commission's agenda; namely: <br />1. Meeting open for any member of the audience to address the Commission <br />2. Matters initiated by Commission Members <br />3. Reports of committees of the Commission <br />The study session on the new tentative subdivision map - Vintage Hills, was post- <br />poned until the meeting of August 25, 1965. <br />These being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and carried, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 9:20 P.M„ to meet again on Wednesday, August 25, 1965, at <br />8:00 P.M. <br />
