M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />` THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />December 22, 1965 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, December 22, 1965, by Chairman Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Antonini. <br /> Johnston <br /> Rega <br />Chairman Landon <br />Absent: Commissioner Plato <br />Secretary Fales <br />Director of Public Works Alan Campbell served as <br />Secretary Pro Tempore for this meeting. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, the minutes <br />of the meeting of December 8, 1965, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical <br />Sales, Inc., 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, <br />Architectural and Landscape Approval in order to construct a research center upon <br />a 75 acre parcel located on the west aide of Sunol Boulevard, south of Sycamore <br />Road, in an I-P District. Mr. Campbell presented the staff report which stated that <br />the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance concerning height regulations, lot area, <br />lot coverage and set-back distances were easily met on the application being con- <br />sidered. Allowance has been made for an east-west street on the north edge of the <br />property which would substantially comply with the Valley Avenue extension shown on <br />the General Plan. It was further pointed out that the applicant is obligated by <br />the Annexation Agreement for street improvements along Sunol Boulevard. Staff <br />recommended approval subject to Performance Standards approval and a detailed site <br />drainage plan approval. <br />Commissioner Plato joined the meeting at 8:10 P.M. <br />Mr. Rabon of John Carl Warnicke was present in the audience representing Kaiser <br />Aluminum and Chemical Salsa, Inc. Mr. Rabon concurred with the staff report and <br />made no further comments. After further discussion by the Commission, upon motion <br />of Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the following resolution <br />was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 496 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical <br />Sales, Inc., 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, for a <br />Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and <br />Landscape Approval in order to construct a re- <br />search center upon a 75 acre parcel located on <br />the west side of Sunol Boulevard, south of <br />Sycamore Road, in an I-P District, has come <br />before this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the above-named application for Zoning Permit <br />be approved with the following conditions: <br />1. Applicant apply for Performance Standards <br />approval and agree to meet all requirements <br />imposed by these Performance Standards prior <br />to the issuance of a building permit for <br />each building to be constructed on the site. <br />2. A detailed site drainage plan must be sub- <br />mitted to and approved by the City Engineer <br />prior to the issuance of a building permit. <br />
