M I N U T E S of THE MEETING of ` THE PLANNING COMMISSION Pleasanton, California December 22, 1965 The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, December 22, 1965, by Chairman Landon. ROLL CALL showed the following: Present: Commissioners Antonini. Johnston Rega Chairman Landon Absent: Commissioner Plato Secretary Fales Director of Public Works Alan Campbell served as Secretary Pro Tempore for this meeting. Upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, the minutes of the meeting of December 8, 1965, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. The next item on the agenda was the application of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Sales, Inc., 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscape Approval in order to construct a research center upon a 75 acre parcel located on the west aide of Sunol Boulevard, south of Sycamore Road, in an I-P District. Mr. Campbell presented the staff report which stated that the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance concerning height regulations, lot area, lot coverage and set-back distances were easily met on the application being con- sidered. Allowance has been made for an east-west street on the north edge of the property which would substantially comply with the Valley Avenue extension shown on the General Plan. It was further pointed out that the applicant is obligated by the Annexation Agreement for street improvements along Sunol Boulevard. Staff recommended approval subject to Performance Standards approval and a detailed site drainage plan approval. Commissioner Plato joined the meeting at 8:10 P.M. Mr. Rabon of John Carl Warnicke was present in the audience representing Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Salsa, Inc. Mr. Rabon concurred with the staff report and made no further comments. After further discussion by the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. RESOLUTION N0. 496 WHEREAS, the application of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Sales, Inc., 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscape Approval in order to construct a re- search center upon a 75 acre parcel located on the west side of Sunol Boulevard, south of Sycamore Road, in an I-P District, has come before this Commission: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the above-named application for Zoning Permit be approved with the following conditions: 1. Applicant apply for Performance Standards approval and agree to meet all requirements imposed by these Performance Standards prior to the issuance of a building permit for each building to be constructed on the site. 2. A detailed site drainage plan must be sub- mitted to and approved by the City Engineer prior to the issuance of a building permit.
