CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, C~LIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-523 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION GRANTING THE APPEAL OF JAMES <br /> AND SUSAN MCDOWEr~. AND APPROVING THE <br /> GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED UNDER CASE <br /> GP-89-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James and Susan McDowell applied to the Planning <br /> Commission for an amendment to the Land Use Element <br /> designation of the General Plan for the <br /> approximately 4.37 acre site located at 2503 <br /> Vineyard Avenue to change the designation from <br /> "Agricultural and Grazing" to the "Low or Medium <br /> Density Residential" designation or any other <br /> designation deemed in the public interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 29, 1989, the Planning <br /> Commission denied the application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code, the applicant submitted an appeal <br /> to the City Clerk of the City o Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 12, 1989, the City <br /> Council received a report from the Director of <br /> Planning and Community Development together with a <br /> copy of the Staff Report to the Planning Commission <br /> regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing at which <br /> time applicant and any other member of the public <br /> was offered an opportunity to present evidence <br /> regarding this appeal and proposed General Plan <br /> Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative <br /> Declaration was appropriate for the proposed <br /> General Plan Amendment and adopted Resolution No. <br /> 89-522 approving the Negative Declaration; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Grants the appeal and therefore approves the <br /> application of James and Susan McDowell to amend <br /> the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change <br /> the designation of approximately 4.37 acres located <br /> at 2503 Vineyard Avenue from "Agricultural and <br /> Grazing" to the "Low Density Residential" <br /> designation (GP-89-6). <br /> <br /> <br />
