CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, C~LIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 89-523 RESOLUTION GRANTING THE APPEAL OF JAMES AND SUSAN MCDOWEr~. AND APPROVING THE GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED UNDER CASE GP-89-6 WHEREAS, James and Susan McDowell applied to the Planning Commission for an amendment to the Land Use Element designation of the General Plan for the approximately 4.37 acre site located at 2503 Vineyard Avenue to change the designation from "Agricultural and Grazing" to the "Low or Medium Density Residential" designation or any other designation deemed in the public interest; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 29, 1989, the Planning Commission denied the application; and WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the applicant submitted an appeal to the City Clerk of the City o Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 12, 1989, the City Council received a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development together with a copy of the Staff Report to the Planning Commission regarding this matter; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing at which time applicant and any other member of the public was offered an opportunity to present evidence regarding this appeal and proposed General Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment and adopted Resolution No. 89-522 approving the Negative Declaration; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Grants the appeal and therefore approves the application of James and Susan McDowell to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change the designation of approximately 4.37 acres located at 2503 Vineyard Avenue from "Agricultural and Grazing" to the "Low Density Residential" designation (GP-89-6).
