CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-519 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPOINTING STEVEN R. BOCIANAS <br /> INTERIM CITY MANAGER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, James R. Walker, City Manager, has notified the <br /> City Council of his plans to retire effective <br /> December 31, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ralph Andersen and Associates has been hired to <br /> recruit a new City Manager; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is expected that the recruitment and appointment <br /> process may not be completed until approximately <br /> March 1, 1990. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does <br /> hereby appoint Steven R. Bocian, Assistant City <br /> Manager, to the position of Interim City Manager, <br /> effective January 1, 1990, and sets his monthly <br /> compensation during this interim period at $6,776 <br /> per month. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 12, 1989 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Pegg~ ~ .d/Ez idroO <br /> Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Michael H.
