CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-517 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT TO <br /> PROVIDE FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR A MARQUEE <br /> FOR AMADOR VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL AND THE <br /> AMADORTHEATER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Amador Valley High School administrative staff <br /> and the city staff managing the Amador Theater have <br /> determined it is necessary to have a marquee <br /> available to communicate events and activities to <br /> the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 16, 1989, the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission recommended the city allocate <br /> funds to pay for 50% of the cost of a marquee, not <br /> to exceed $20,000, conditional upon the marquee <br /> being available for theater use on a fair and <br /> equitable basis; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council authorizes allocation of up to <br /> $20,000 or 50% of the cost of the marquee, <br /> whichever is less, from the General Fund, to be <br /> used toward the purchase of a marquee for Amador <br /> Valley High School and the Amador Theater, subject <br /> to the condition that the marquee being available <br /> for theater use on a fair and equitable basis <br /> compared to the use granted Amador Valley High <br /> School. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
