Issuance of an Encroactment Permit to be at <br />staff level. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of R. A. Martin, 14 <br />Castlewood Drive, for a Conditional Uae Permit in order to erect a temporary tract <br />office at 6348 Arlington Drive (Rosepointe), in an R-1 District. Mr. Pales pre- <br />sented the staff report which recommended approval with possible time limit. Vic <br />Lund, Jr., representing Mr. Martin, was present in the audience and concurred with <br />the staff report. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded b y Commissioner Antonini. <br />and carried, the public hearing was closed. After further discussion, upon motion <br />of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, the following resolution <br />was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RHSOLUTION N0. 566 <br />tJHEREAS, the application of R. A. Martin, 14 Castlewood <br />Drive, fur a Conditional Use Permit in order to <br />erect a temporary tract office at 6348 Arlington <br />Drive (Roaepointe), in an R-1 Dlatrict, has come <br />before this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be granted subject <br />to a time limit of three years. <br />Chairman Landon then opened the public hearing on RG lot widths which was continued <br />from the meeting of April 27, 1966. Mr. Ted Fairfield spoke stating that he pre- <br />ferred smaller lot sizes. Mr. Pales indicated that wider lots would provide for <br />fewer Variances for reduced side yards. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded <br />by Commissioner Plato, and carried, the public hearing was closed. It was deter- <br />mined that more study and discussion on this matter would be beneficial. Also, the <br />staff was instructed to publish a public hearing for the next meeting on minimum lot <br />area requirements. <br />There ware no Communications. <br />The next item on the agenda was Tentative Subdivision Maps. The matter for dis- <br />cussion was approval of street names; Tract No. 2759 (Pleasanton Valley). Upon <br />motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Plato, notion was adopted by <br />unanimous vote that street names for Tract No. 2759 (Pleasanton Valley) as submitted <br />be approved for this subdivision. <br />The next item on the agenda was Referrals from the City Council. The matter dis- <br />cussed was the rezoning of Devmar. The City Council, at their meeting of April 18, <br />1966, referred the matter back to the Planning Commission with the recommendation <br />that 25 acres of the 94 acres be set aside for I-P use and the balance be zoned for <br />R-l. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 567 <br />RESOLVED: the Planning Commission recommend to the Cfty <br />Council that the Planning Commission re-affirms <br />its original stand denying rezoning from Agri- <br />cultural to R-1. <br />Mr. Ed Orloff was present in the audience and spoke briefly asking if the matter <br />could be continued for approximately 30 days as Mr. McDevitt would be away for about <br />a month. <br />Referrals from Alameda County. Adjustment V 3689 to approve a lot as a building site <br />with no frontage on an approved road, on Crellin Road, one-half mile west of Vine- <br />yard Avenue. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Plato, staff <br />Boas instructed to inform the County Planning Commission recommending denial of the <br />application. Mr. Ralph Martin was present in the audience and spoke in opposition <br />of this proposal. Mr. Ted Fairfield also spoke in opposition of this application. <br />
