COI~4ffSSI0NBR GARRIC~N, SECONDED BY C01~41ISSIONER GIBBS, AND CARRIED, IT WAS <br />DETERtAINED TO APPROVE THE ABOVE APPLICATION. <br />Sb. Z-67-47, Elinor Anderson. <br />Next was the application of Elinor R. Anderson, 4379 Clovewood Lane, for a <br />Zoning Permit for a home occupation to conduct a day care center at the above <br />address in an R-1 District. Mr. Edgar presented the staff report which recom- <br />mended approval with conditions. Mra. Anderson was present and concurred with <br />the conditions. After considerable discussion, UPON MOTIOPI OF CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, <br />SECONDED BY COI~SSIONER GARRIGAN, AND CARRIED, THE ABOVE NAMED APPLICATION <br />WAS APPROVED WITH THE POLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. Approval for a one year period subject to staff review for any <br />complaints regarding traffic. <br />2. No remodeling or renovations permitted. <br />3. No signs permitted. <br />4. A maximum of 6 children shall be allowed. <br />5. Hours of service shall be reasonable day time hours only. <br />Sc. Z-67-48, Jce Miller. <br />The application of Joe Miller, 1152 Via Grand Street, Livermore, for a Zoning <br />Permit for an appliance sales and service center to be located at 608 Main St. <br />in a C-C District was presented. Mr. Edgar gave the staff report recommending <br />approval with conditions. Mr. Miller was present aad did not agree to the <br />proposed conditions. UPCN MOTION OF COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY CFAIRMAN <br />ANTONINI, AND CARRIED, THE ABOVE APPLICATION WAS APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING <br />COPIDITIONS: <br />1. Record owner of the property to enter into an agreement with the City of <br />Pleasanton to provide additional parking to serve Che owner's land by <br />exercising discretion as follows: <br />a. Cooperate with the City and civic organizations in establishing parking <br />lots to serve the central business district. <br />b. Withhold any protest to assessment districts initiated by the City to <br />finance parking facilities for the Central Business District. <br />2. Repair or replace deteriorated curb, gutter, and/or sidewalk to the extent <br />ae determined by the Citq 8ngineer and as necessary to provide a non- <br />hazardous and uniform surface and pattern of paving. <br />3. Building to be brought up to Building Code requirements as established by <br />the Building Inspector prior to occupancy. Such work to be required to <br />include but not to be limited to the following: <br />a. Demolish second story rear section to joist line and apply a new <br />fire-retardant roof covering over same. <br />b. Remove rear exterior stairway. <br />c. Replace proper drain spouts to carry roof drainage to front of building <br />and under sidewalk into gutter. <br />d. Remove rear brick chimney to within one foot of roof line and cover same. <br />e. Lock out use of upper story (this is a must). <br />f. Repair and paint front of store building. <br />g. Plumbing and electrical wiring must sleet present City Codes. <br />h. Rear repair section'shall not be used for showing customers merchandise. <br />i. Exit signs shall be installed with five-inch letters to instruct <br />customers to the use of rear door exit in case of emergency. <br />j. Install fire extinguishers as directed by Fire Chief. <br />k. No acetylene welding shall be performed within the building. <br />4. Provide necessary easements subject to approval of City Attorney, in order <br />to guarantee access for an off-street loading area via Parcel 15, Block 107, <br />Assessors Map Book 94 (610 and 612 Main Street) such easements to continue <br />for the life of the use. <br />5. Fallen tree and other miscellaneous debris to be removed from the rear <br />portion of the property. <br />6. Record owner of the property to enter into an agreement with the City of <br />Pleasanton to agree to demolish building at such time as the lease with the <br />dress shop terminates, or agree to bring the building fully up to code. <br />Sd. Z-67-51, Pacific Telephone. <br />Next was the application of Pacific Telephone and Telegraph, 120 Ray St., for a <br />Zoning Permit for installing a temporary future development sign to be located <br />at 120 Ray Street. UPON MOTION OF COZ4dISSiONBR PLATO, SECONDED BY C's~IFMAN <br />Ai?TONINI, AND CARRIED, THE ABOVE NAMED APPLICATION WAS APPROVED WITH THE FOLLOWING <br />CONDITION: <br />1. Time limit of one year. <br />Se. 2-67-49, Pleasanton School District. <br />Mr. Edgar presented the staff report on the application of the Pleasanton School <br />District for a Zoning Permit for use of existing structure for the central business <br />_4_ 8-23-67 <br />
