a. Herman ltoopmann, McCulloch Oil Corporation. <br />Application for a use permit to allow the drilling of an exploratory well in <br />search of oil and/or gas in an "A-2" District, located at Assessor's Map 96, <br />Bloct: 32J, Parcel 2-2, south and east of the intersection oi- Happy Valley <br />Road and Alisal Street. The Commission expressed no objection to the use <br />permit (C-LS19). <br />b. Robert H. Prince. <br />Application fora use permit to approve a hog ranch in an "A-2" District, <br />located at 334 Foothill Road, east side, approximately 1 mile south of the <br />intersection with Verona Road, Sunol Area, Pleasanton Township. The Com- <br />mission expressed an objection to the location of the hog ranch, due to possible <br />odors it may produce; also its proximity to the Castlewood Country Club and <br />the new Kaiser Research Centor. <br />12. MATTERS FOR THE INFORMATION OF THE COMMISSION. <br />Mr. Castro recommended to the Commission that they pass a resolution which <br />requires applicants to come before the Commission cuho wish to erect signs on <br />U.S. 50 or Interstate 683. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by <br />Commissioner Plato, the following Yesolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RL+SOLUTION N0. 739 <br />WHEREAS, the matter of the Outdoor Advertising Act, 1967, <br />of the State of California controlling signs <br />along freeways has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the City of Pleasanton endorse the above <br />law adopted by the State of California. <br />Mr. Plato stated at this time, his objection to Ordinance No. 5)1, providing <br />for automatic termination of appointxaent for absence from meetings of the <br />Planning Commissioners. Cos®issioner Gibbs concurred with Mr. Plato's objection. <br />There being no further business to come before the Com<ission, <br />Chairman Antonini, seconded by Coamtiasioner Plat <br />was adjourned at 7.2:70 P. M. to meet again on Wed <br />12-6-67 <br />upon motion of <br />
