M I N U T E S <br />Planning Commission <br />Pleasanton, California <br />January 31, 1968 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />by Chairman Antonini at 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, January 31, 1968. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioner Garrigan <br /> Gibbe <br /> Plato <br />Chairman Antonini <br />Secretary Castro <br />Absent: Commissioner Arnold <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES ~n~~"" ,l~~ <br />~Y~AI~~'~ p-1 tv+~tin~ <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gibbs, seconded by a--' -z- ^ '-', and carried, <br />it was determined to approve the minutes of January ~, 1968, as presented. <br />4. Z-67-$3, Harry Didio. <br />Mr. Castro reviewed for the Commission Harry Didio's request for a Zoning Permit <br />requesting permission to move his beauty cottage from 942 Santa Rita Road to <br />943 Santa Rita Road. The application had been considered by the Commission on <br />January 10, 1968, and was continued to be heard concurrently with Union Oil's <br />application. Mr. Corley,repreaenting the applicant, asked the Conunis~ion to <br />consider the application and grant a temporary permit, emphasizing Mr. Didio's <br />difficulty of keeping operators when the building could be demolished at any time. <br />It was explained that the entire corner had been purchased by Union Oii Com- <br />pany, with a leaseback to Mr. Rittenouer. Mr. Corley reminded the Commission <br />they would have control over the building when Union Oil came in for a permit, <br />and could provide for demolition of the building at that time. UPON MOTION OF <br />COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER GIBBS, AND CARRIED, IT WAS <br />DETERMINED TO APPROVE ZONING PERMIT 2-67-83 FORA PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED 90 DAYS, <br />FURTHER THAT SAID STRUCTURE KNOWN AS 943 SANTA RITA ROAD SHALL BE RE-CONSIDERED <br />AT SUCH TIME AS THE APPLICATION FOR THE UNION OIL COMPANY IS REVIEWED BY THE <br />COMMISSION. <br />ROLL CALL Vote as Follows: <br />AYES: Commissioner Garrigan <br />Commissioner Plato <br />Commissioner Gibbs <br />NOES: Chairman Antonini <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Arnold <br />6. ZONING PERMITS <br />a.) Z-68-2, Milton Nelson. <br />Application of Milton Nelson, 2302 Sandpiper Way, for a Zoning Permit to allow <br />a one-man self employed business engaged in sale and distribution of dental <br />drills, to be conducted at the above address. UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER <br />GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER PLATO, AND CARRIED, THE ABOVE APPLICATION FOR <br />ZONING PERMIT Z-68-2 WAS APPROVED, WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. That the use is conducted entirely within the dwelling. <br />2. That the use does not involve a display of merchandise, products, or other <br />material or equipment for advertising purposes. <br />3. That the use is carried on by a resident of the dwelling only, and does <br />not involve employment of any other person. <br />4. The use does not involve the retail sales of a commodity on the premises. <br />5. That the use does not generate vehicular traffic in excess of that which <br />is normally associated with single family residential use. <br />1-31-68 <br />
