CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-482 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION COMMENDING JIM WALKER ON HIS <br /> RETIREMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, JIM WALKER is culminating a most notable career <br /> with the City of Pleasanton expanding through 22 <br /> years of exemplary public employment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, he has risen through the ranks of service with the <br /> City's Finance Department and the City Manager's <br /> Office exhibiting the highest levels of knowledge <br /> and expertise in expediting enormous and arduous <br /> responsibilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, JIM WALKER has displayed tempered prudence and <br /> foresight in giving guidance to the City Council on <br /> a multitude of formidable and delicate issues, <br /> which have affected the community well. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Pleasanton City Council, with as much candor, <br /> respect and praise as it can draw upon this special <br /> and venerable occasion, most proudly commends JIM <br /> WALKER for an unparalleled and extensive career of <br /> distinguished service for our community through the <br /> most heightened developmental period of this City's <br /> history] <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 21, 1989 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Pegg~ ag. ~z~dro ~J <br /> Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Michael H.
