PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2$03 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-86-5, CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the <br />requirements of the Zoning Code as they pertain to the <br />notice and hearing procedures for overheight fences <br />(over 6 ft. in height); and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 25, 1986 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this proposed Municipal Code amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, since the adoption of the ordinance amendments <br />concerning second story additions and accessory <br />structures greater than 10 feet in height, the Zoning <br />Administrator has held several hearings as requested by <br />affected adjacent property owners. In all cases the <br />seven day notice period and appeal process has been very <br />successful, and, in almost all cases, Zoning <br />Administrator hearings have concluded with the agreement <br />of the project proponent and the affected property <br />owners. The Planning Commission agrees with staff that <br />because of the success of this procedure in conjunction <br />with standardizing the review process for all Zoning <br />Administrator cases adoption of the proposed ordinance <br />should be recommended. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMI <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends adoption of <br />amend the requirements of <br />pertain to the notice and <br />overheight fences (over 6 <br />attached draft ordinance. <br />35ION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />Case RZ-86-5, application to <br />the Municipal Code as they <br />hearing procedures for <br />ft. in height) as shown on the <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 25, 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Innes, Michelotti, Wellman <br />and Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />- 1 - <br />
