PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 2$03 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-86-5, CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the requirements of the Zoning Code as they pertain to the notice and hearing procedures for overheight fences (over 6 ft. in height); and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 25, 1986 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this proposed Municipal Code amendment; and WHEREAS, since the adoption of the ordinance amendments concerning second story additions and accessory structures greater than 10 feet in height, the Zoning Administrator has held several hearings as requested by affected adjacent property owners. In all cases the seven day notice period and appeal process has been very successful, and, in almost all cases, Zoning Administrator hearings have concluded with the agreement of the project proponent and the affected property owners. The Planning Commission agrees with staff that because of the success of this procedure in conjunction with standardizing the review process for all Zoning Administrator cases adoption of the proposed ordinance should be recommended.
