PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2824 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE GP-85-9, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR THE ADOPTION <br />OF A COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to adopt a new <br />General Plan (GP-85-9). The General Plan is a <br />comprehensive land use and policy plan which guides the <br />future development of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Plan covers a 43 square mile Planning Area which <br />lies generally between I-580, Isabel Avenue, Highway 84 <br />and Pleasanton Ridge; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed General Plan designates allowable land use <br />and densities for all properties within the 43 square <br />mile Planning Area and establishes goals, policies, and <br />programs within the following elements: <br />1. Land Use <br />2. Circulation <br />3. Housing <br />4. Public Safety <br />5. Public Facilities <br />6. Conservation and Open Space <br />7. Noise <br />8. Air Quality <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission certified the EIR (Environmental <br />IMpact Report) prepared for this Case on September 3, <br />1986 after considering all public testimony, relevant <br />exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning the proposed General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to adopt the draft General Plan as presented <br />under Case GP-85-9. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 3RD DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Innes, Michelotti, Wellman and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />- 1 - <br />
