PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2828 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE GP-86-3, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, early in 1984 the City staff and Parks and Recreation <br />Commission explored the possibility of improving Mission <br />Hills Park. The Lund Ranch PUD project had been <br />recently reviewed at that time and the representative of <br />the Lund Ranch indicated interest in trading relatively <br />flat land within the Lund Ranch contiguous to Mission <br />Hills Park for the hilly, undeveloped portion of Mission <br />Hills Park; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 11, 1984 the City Council approved the trade <br />in concept, directing staff to conclude the agreement <br />and initiated the required changes in the General Plan; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the General <br />Plan Land Use Element designation of an approximately <br />4.8 acre site from "Low Density Residential" to "Open <br />Space" (Parks and Recreation), of an approximately 4.5 <br />acre site from "Open Space" (Parks and Recreation) to <br />"Medium Density Residential" generally located in the <br />area south and north of Mission Hills Park, <br />respectively; and <br />WHEREAS, this application was referred to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission on August 20, 1986, and this <br />Commission recommended approval of this General Plan <br />change; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 10, 1986, the Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of a proposed negative <br />declaration after considering all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section l: Recommends approval of Case GP-86-3, application of <br />the City of Pleasanton to amend the General Plan Land <br />Use Element designation of an approximately 4.8 acre <br />site from "Low Density Residential" to "Open Space" <br />(Parks and Recreation) of an approximately 4.5 acre site <br />form "Open Space" (Parks and Recreation) to "Medium <br />Density Residential" generally located in the area south <br />and north of Mission Hills Park, respectively. <br />- 1 - <br />
