PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2849 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF <br />JOSEPH MADDEN AND SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION <br />COMPANY AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-86-14 <br />WHEREAS, Joseph Madden and Southern Pacific Transportation <br />Company have applied for rezoning to PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - Commercial and Offices District for an <br />approximately 7.6 acre site, the previous 100 foot width <br />railroad right-of-way located immediately north of and <br />parallel to Stanley Boulevard, between Stanley <br />Boulevard/First Street and a point approximately 3,350 <br />feet northeasterly of that intersection; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 22, 1986, the Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of the negative <br />declaration prepared for Case PUD-8G-14 after <br />considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this <br />application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found the proposed rezoning to <br />be in conformance with the City's General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends approval of the the application of <br />Joseph Madden and Southern Pacific Transportation <br />Company for rezoning to PUD (Planned Unit Development) - <br />Commercial and Offices District for an approximately 7.6 <br />acre site, the previous 100 foot width railroad <br />right-of-way located immediately north of and parallel <br />to Stanley Boulevard, between Stanley Boulevard/First <br />Street and a point approximately 3,350 feet <br />northeasterly of that intersection subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />That approval of this case constitutes zoning of <br />the subject property relative to allowable uses and <br />that the applicants be aware that no development of <br />the property shall take place until a development <br />plan has been submitted for review and approval by <br />the City. <br />That there shall be no development of the subject <br />property until access to the site can be provided <br />directly from Stanley Boulevard across the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad right-of-way to the subject site <br />and that the points of access shall not be <br />- 1 - <br />
