CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 89-451 RESOLUTION ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR LANDSCAPING DEL V~T~ PARKWAY MEDIAN ISLANDS AND POSTPONING TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTAT~ATION AT VALLEY AVENUE AND VIA DE LOS MILAGROS/PASEO SANTA CRUZ UNTIL 1990- 1991 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 31, 1989, Council reviewed the reports of the Director of Public Works and Utilities (IR 89:74 and SR 89:442) regarding the landscaping for Del Valle Parkway median islands and the proposed installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Via de los Milagros/Paseo Santa Cruz; and WHEREAS, due to increasing concerns over the unsightliness of the median islands on Del Valle Parkway, it was deemed necessary to make immediately improvements in this area; and WHEREAS, it was determined by Council that the traffic signal at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Via de los Milagros/Paseo Santa Cruz, although important and necessary for the future, was not of immediate need. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council authorizes transfer of $175,000 allocated to Project No. 885081, traffic signal at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Via de los Milagros/Paseo Santa Cruz, to the landscaping of the median island on Del Valle Parkway. Section 2: The funds to be used for replacement of landscaping damaged by MJB Construction, Inc. during the Cross-Town Sewer project construction, shall also be applied to the median island landscaping improvements. Section 3: The above-described traffic signal installation shall be included in the Capital Improvement Budget for 1990-91. Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
