CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-447 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE PUD-81-30-46D, THE <br /> APPLICATION OF PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied for <br /> design review approval to construct an approximately <br /> 5,040 sq. ft. post office substation, an 8,060 sq. ft. <br /> retail commercial building, and a building pad location <br /> for a potential 3,700 sq. ft. retail <br /> commercial/restaurant use to be located on an <br /> approximately 2.76 acre site located at the southeast <br /> corner of the intersection of Chabot and Gibraltar <br /> Drives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development) - Industrial/Commercial and Offices <br /> District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendations for approval of the proposed design <br /> review application. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared for the <br /> development plan of the subject site (PUD-81-30) <br /> including the typical architectural and site designs for <br /> individual lots, and there are no changed circumstances <br /> or new information requiring additional environmental <br /> review; therefore, this application does not constitute <br /> a new project under CEQA and no new environmental <br /> documents accompany this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 31, 1989 and <br /> testimony taken concerning the proposed project <br /> including its design, cumulative impact, consistency <br /> with PUD-81-30 and the General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has found that the project is <br /> consistent with PUD-81-30 as well as the City's General <br /> Plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves Case PUD-81-30-46D, the application of <br /> Prudential Insurance Company of America for design <br /> review approval to construct an approximately 5,040 sq. <br /> ft. post office substation, 8,060 sq. ft. retail <br /> commercial building, and a building pad location for a <br /> <br /> <br />
