CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-446 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION COMMENDING JOE HITS. ON HIS <br /> RETIREMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fire Chief Joe Hill has performed an illustrious <br /> career in Fire Department Services spanning 25 <br /> years beginning with the communities of Pacific and <br /> Madera and from November, 1977 with the City of <br /> Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, he has led his department through a period of <br /> spectacular City growth, planned and established a <br /> modern new Fire Station and "state of the art" Fire <br /> Training Building and maintained an effective <br /> Emergency Operations Network for the welfare of the <br /> entire community during his tenure; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Joe Hill has striven to maintain a department <br /> readily prepared, professionally'trained and <br /> strongly resolved with "esprit de corps" to handle <br /> numerous challenges and rigors of public safety. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Pleasanton City Council most highly commends <br /> Chief Joe Hill for leading his department with the <br /> professionalism, loyalty and devotion reflected, in <br /> part, by the paramount level of fire safety service <br /> provided to the community and, further, wishes him <br /> and his family well in their lifelong pursuits upon <br /> his retirement. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
