CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-441 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION COMMENDING T. MICHAL DYER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, T. MICHAL (MIKE) DYER is retiring from volunteer <br /> service as an elected Member of the Pleasanton <br /> Unified School District's Board of Trustees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this dedicated and committed Pleasanton resident <br /> has served meritoriously well in guiding the <br /> educational progress of the youth of our <br /> community. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: T. MICHAL (MIKE). DYER is commended for <br /> contributions as a Member of the first Board of <br /> Trustees of the newly unified school district. <br /> <br />Section 2: He has served remarkably through major challenges <br /> facing the school district and the community <br /> including contract settlements, passing a major <br /> School Bond issue, school unification and <br /> curriculum review and staff development. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 17, 1989 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> pegg~.C/Ezi~r~~ <br /> Deputy City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS '~~ <br />Michael H.
