CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-433 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> MCE CORPORATION, FOR DEL V~T~ PARKWAY <br /> BIKE LANE, PROJECT NO. 875016 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> Del Valle Parkway Bike Lane, Project No. 875016; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> October 17, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of MCE Corporation of San Ramon, in the <br /> amount of $155,222.74 was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of MCE Corporation be <br /> accepted; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of MCE Corporation, in the amount of <br /> $155,222.74, for Del Valle Parkway Bike Lane, <br /> Project No. 875016, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with MCE Corporation for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes the allocation of $20,000 from the <br /> General Fund for this project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
