CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-418 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDING THE PARK <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BY <br /> APPROPRIATING $4,400 TO FAIRLANDS PARKTO <br /> CONSTRUCT A PATHWAY FROM MANCHESTER <br /> STREET TO THE EXISTING PATHWAY IN <br /> FAIRLANDS PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the residents living on Manchester Street have <br /> complained regarding the lack of a sidewalk to <br /> connect the existing ten foot wide concrete <br /> sidewalk from Manchester Street terminating at the <br /> park to the existing eight foot asphalt pathway in <br /> the park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because of the missing section it requires park <br /> users to cut across the turn which, during times of <br /> inclement weather, is difficult and damaging to the <br /> turf; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, wheelchair users cannot access or exit the park at <br /> this location due to the missing section; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council amends the Park Capital <br /> Improvement Program by appropriating $4,400.00 <br /> ($4,000 plus $400 contingency) to construct an <br /> eight foot wide asphalt pathway from Manchester <br /> Street to the Fairlands Park pathway and reducing <br /> the fund balance accordingly. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
