AHENDHENT NO. 8 CITY OF PLEASANTON AND CH2M HILL AUTHORIZATION FOR EXTRA SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION FOR THE STONERIDGE DRIVE INTERCHANGE 1. PURPOSE The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to authorize the CON- SULTANT to perform extra work as described in Para- graph 2 of this AMENDMENT and to compensate the CONSUL- TANT for these extra services as shown in Paragraph 4 of this AMENDMENT, all in accordance with the pro- visions of Article 1 of the AGREEMENT between the par- ties hereto dated July 2, 1985. 2. SCOPE OF WORK The work authorized by this AMENDMENT includes: A. Review construction shop drawings and structural calculations for falsework for bridge construction as described in CALTRANS' Falsework Manual, current edition. B. Continue to provide additional construction staking services for the "Negotiated Contract" as described in Task 11-4 of AMENDMENT No. 7. C. Other miscellaneous Services During Construction shall be performed as directed by the CITY. 3. TIME OF PERFORMANCE The extra work described in Paragraph 2 of this AMEND- MENT shall be provided on an "on-call" basis; work started on May 1, 1989 and will continue throughout the duration of all construction activities for the Stone- ridge Drive Interchange which is expected to end in June 1990. 4. COMPENSATION AND PAYMENT Compensation for CONSULTANT's services authorized by this AMENDMENT shall be on a "Labor and Expense" basis as provided in Article 2 of this AGREEMENT. The cost ceiling for the work included in this AMENDMENT shall be $75,000; the amount shall be subject to change by separate amendment if the SCOPE OF SERVICES or TIME OF PERFORMANCE of this AMENDMENT requires adjustment.
