CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY~ CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-397 <br /> <br /> REJECTION OF AIJ. BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE <br /> PHASE II PORTION OF THE OPERATIONS <br /> SERVICE CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br /> Phase II portion of the Operations Service Center; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering SerVices Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> September 19, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all bids received exceeded the budgeted amount for <br /> the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended all bids be rejected; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: All bids received for the Phase II portion of the <br /> Operations Service Center are rejected. <br /> <br />Section 2: Staff is directed to modify the plans for the <br /> Phase II portion of the Operations Service Center <br /> to allow the Center to be constructed within <br /> budget. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 19, 1989 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Pegg~/E~idro(J <br /> Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> .~~0 ~ORM' <br />APPROVED AS ~_ <br /> <br />Michael H.
