CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-388 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY <br /> OF PT~ASANTONREQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY <br /> FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS <br /> FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 130 <br /> (CURRIN), PURSUANTTO THE CORTESE-KNOX <br /> LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF <br /> 1985 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate <br /> proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local <br /> Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, <br /> commencing with Section 56000 of the California <br /> Government Code, for the annexation of <br /> approximately 351.6 acres, Annexation No. 130 <br /> (Currin), and requests initiation of proceedings <br /> thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is <br /> uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of <br /> the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached <br /> hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of <br /> influence of the affected city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> This is a logical extension of the City limits and <br /> the City of Pleasanton should have control over the <br /> development of this property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda <br /> County is hereby requested to take proceedings for <br /> the annexation of territory as described in Exhibit <br /> "A", according to the terms and conditions stated <br /> above and in the manner provided by the Cortese- <br /> Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
