CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-372 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> COMMUNITY ELECTRIC, INC. FOR TRAFFIC <br /> SIGNALS AT VALLEY AVENUE AND KOT~ STREET <br /> AND BERNAL AVENUE AND OLD BERNAL/CASE <br /> AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> traffic signals at Valley Avenue and Kolln Street, <br /> Project No. 885025 and Bernal Avenue and Old <br /> Bernal/Case Avenue, Project No. 885030 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> September 5, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Community Electric, Inc. of San Rafael, <br /> in the amount of $189,690 was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Community Electric, <br /> Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Community Electric, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $189,690, for traffic signals at Valley <br /> Avenue and Kolln Street, Project No. 885025 and <br /> Bernal Avenue and Old Bernal/Case Avenue, Project <br /> No. 885030, is hereby accepted by the City Council <br /> as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with Community Electric, Inc. for the <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
