CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-370 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> EAST BAY EXCAVATING CO., INC., FOR <br /> RESURFACING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS, <br /> PROJECT NO. 895019 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> resurfacing of various City streets, Project No. <br /> 895019; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> September 5, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of O'Grady Paving Inc. cannot be accepted <br /> because it is incomplete; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of East Bay Excavating Co., Inc., in the <br /> amount of $152,643.75 was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of East Bay Excavating <br /> Co., Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of O'Grady Paving Inc., is hereby <br /> rejected. <br /> <br />Section 2: The bid of East Bay Excavating Co., Inc., in the <br /> amount of $152,643.75, for resurfacing of various <br /> City streets, Project No. 895019, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with East Bay Excavating Co., Inc. for the <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
