RESOLUTION N0.07-125 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR CONSIDERATION OF A <br />PROJECT UNDER THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION'S <br />REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN VISIONING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency and the Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission have requested identification of Vision Projects for the update of the <br />Countywide Transportation Plan and the Regional Transportation Plan; and, <br />WHEREAS, inclusion of projects in the Plan would provide opportunities for future State <br />and Federal funding; and <br />WHEREAS, improvements that are contemplated in and around the Dublin/Pleasanton <br />BART station, including improved parking, pedestrian amenities, bike and car-share facilities, <br />and shuttle and bus rapid transit interface improvements, would qualify under the criteria for <br />project selection. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. That the City manager is authorized to submit an application on behalf of <br />the City of Pleasanton for consideration of a project under the Metropolitan Transportation <br />Commission's Regional Transportation Visioning Project. <br />SECTION 2. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into <br />the book of original resolutions. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on May 15, 2007. <br />I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br />resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 15"' day of May, <br />2007, by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmember Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />,~ <br />Kare Diaz, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Michael H.
