CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 89-359 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE DIVISION STREET TRAFFIC REPORTAND APPROVING A FOUR-WAY STOP AT PT~ASANTON AVENUE AND ROSE AVENUE WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 15, 1989, Council reviewed the report of the Director of Public Works and Utilities (SR 89:361) regarding the Division Street traffic problems; and WHEREAS, Council also considered the testimony of numerous residents affected by the recommendations; and WHEREAS, on April 12, 1976, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic Regulations for City Streets), which has been amended from time to time when determined necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves implementation of those suggestions listed under "Short Range Solutions" (I.A.) with the exception that the stop sign on Division Street and Fair Street is deleted, and a a directional sign to the fairgrounds should be installed on Hopyard Road and 1-680. Approves funding for a study of the "Long Range Solutions" for Rose Avenue (II.B). Section 2: Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic Regulations for City Streets), Section 3 (Stop Intersections), is hereby amended to establish a four-way stop at Pleasanton Avenue and Rose Avenue as follows: "3r-7 Rose Avenue, at Pleasanton Avenue; stopping traffic on Rose Avenue in both directions. 3p-12 Pleasanton Avenue, at Rose Avenue; stopping traffic on Pleasanton Avenue in both directions." Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
