CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-359 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> OF THE DIVISION STREET TRAFFIC REPORTAND <br /> APPROVING A FOUR-WAY STOP AT PT~ASANTON <br /> AVENUE AND ROSE AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 15, 1989, Council reviewed <br /> the report of the Director of Public Works and <br /> Utilities (SR 89:361) regarding the Division Street <br /> traffic problems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council also considered the testimony of numerous <br /> residents affected by the recommendations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 12, 1976, the City Council adopted <br /> Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing <br /> Traffic Regulations for City Streets), which has <br /> been amended from time to time when determined <br /> necessary; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves implementation of those suggestions <br /> listed under "Short Range Solutions" (I.A.) with <br /> the exception that the stop sign on Division Street <br /> and Fair Street is deleted, and a a directional <br /> sign to the fairgrounds should be installed on <br /> Hopyard Road and 1-680. Approves funding for a <br /> study of the "Long Range Solutions" for Rose <br /> Avenue (II.B). <br /> <br />Section 2: Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing <br /> Traffic Regulations for City Streets), Section 3 <br /> (Stop Intersections), is hereby amended to <br /> establish a four-way stop at Pleasanton Avenue and <br /> Rose Avenue as follows: <br /> <br /> "3r-7 Rose Avenue, at Pleasanton Avenue; stopping <br /> traffic on Rose Avenue in both directions. <br /> <br /> 3p-12 Pleasanton Avenue, at Rose Avenue; stopping <br /> traffic on Pleasanton Avenue in both <br /> directions." <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
