CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-354 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING. THEAPPEAL OF BURGER <br /> KING OF A DECISION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW <br /> BOARD DENYING DESIGN APPROVAL FORAN <br /> INTERN~I.I~-ITJ~IMINATED MONUMENT <br /> IDENTIFICATIONAS FILED UNDER CASE <br /> AP-89-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 24, 1989, the Design Review <br /> Board denied the application of Burger King for <br /> design review approval to install a monument sign <br /> to be double-sided with internally illuminated <br /> faces at an existing Burger King restaurant located <br /> at 4315 Hopyard Road (Case Z-88-581); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code, Burger King submitted an appeal to <br /> the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council <br /> on August 15, 1989, at which time all pertinent <br /> testimony and documents were reviewed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council indicated other businesses in the shopping <br /> center should be on the sign as well and referred <br /> the matter back to the Design Review Board; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the appeal in Case Z-88-581, the <br /> application of Burger King Corporation for design <br /> review approval to install an internally- <br /> illuminated monument identification sign at an <br /> existing shopping center located on the northeast <br /> corner of Hopyard Road and Owens Drive. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
