AMENDMENT NO. 4 CITY OF PLEASANTON AND CH2M HILL _ AUTHORIZATION OF EXTRA SERVICES FOR THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF THE E~CIENDA DRIVE AND SANTA RITA ROAD INTERCHANGES 1. Purpose: The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to recognize and accept work performed by the CONSULTANT which is outside the project scope of services and to authorize and direct the CONSULTANT to proceed with additional work, both as specified in Item 2 of this AMENDHENT, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of the AGREEMENT between the parties hereto dated December 1, 1987. 2. Scope of Work: The work authorized by this AMENDMENT is described in the "Scope of Services" attached hereto as Exhibit 4-A. 3. Time of Performance: The work in Exhibit 4-A, described in TASK 1, was started by the CONSULTANT in April 1989 and is expected to be completed in October 1989. The work described in Tasks 2.1 through 2.5, inclusive, started in March 1989 and will be completed about October 1989. The work described in Tasks 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 3.1, 3.2, and 4 has been performed by the CONSULTANT between February 1989 and July 1989 at the express direction of the CITY staff in the course of the overall project work. It is recognized by both parties to this AMENDMENT that this schedule and estimated cost to perform the work remaining is dependent on actions by others and may require adjustment by separate amendment to conform to changes beyond control of the CITY and the CONSULTANT. 4. Compensation and Payment: Compensation for the CONSULTANTeS services authorized by this amendment shall be on a "Fixed Fee" basis as provided in Article 2 of the AGREEMENT. The cost ceiling for the work included in this AMENDMENT shall be $155~844.00. The amount shall be subject to change by separate amendment if the Scope of Services or Time of Performance of this AMENDMENT requires adjustment. Data supporting the cost estimate are attached as
