CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> TASSAJARA RESERVOIR <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> <br /> THIS AMENDMENT NO. i TO THE AGREEMENT FOR CONSULTING <br />SERVICES, originally executed on December 6, 1988, is made <br />and entered into this day of August, 1989, by and between <br />the CITY OF PT~ASANTON, a municipal corporation (hereinafter <br />referred to as "City"), and JOHN CAROLTO ENGINEERS, a <br />California corporation (hereinafter referred to as <br />"Consultant"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> <br /> A. Consultant and City desire to execute this Amendment <br />No. i to the original contract for Consultant Services, <br />Tassajara Reservoir, in order to expand the scope of service <br />to include an update of the City's 1985 Water Master Plan and <br />increase compensation by $23,725. <br /> <br />B. In the judgment. of the City, it is necessary and <br />advisable to employ the services of the Consultant due to '- <br />economy of services already undertaken by Consultant. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, <br />agreements and conditions contained herein, City and <br />Consultant agree upon the amendments to the original <br />agreement as contained herein, and that this Amendment No. 1 <br />shall amend the original agreement as follows: <br /> <br />I. Paragraphs 3, 6, 7, and 8 are hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> 3. Staff. Project Manager for Consultant shall be <br /> Stanley R. Saylor. Consultant shall not replace <br /> Mr. Saylor without prior City approval. <br /> <br /> 6. Term. It is recognized by both parties that time <br /> is of the essence. Consultant shall begin work on <br /> December 14, 1988 for Phase I. Consultant shall <br /> begin work on August 21, 1989 for Phase IA. The <br /> work as described in Exhibit "A", Scope of Work, <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> reference, shall be completed pursuant to times <br /> stated in Exhibit "A". <br /> <br /> 7. For the services described in Exhibit "A". City <br /> shall pay consultant an amount not to exceed as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> Phase I $31,000 <br /> Phase IA 23,725 <br /> $54,725 <br /> <br /> <br />
