ACTIA Bicycle/Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary Fund Program ACTIA No. A07-0012 <br />Cycle 3 Grant Funding Agreement <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND TASK BREAKDOWN <br />Project Sponsor: City of Pleasanton <br />Project Title: Pleasanton Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan <br />ACTIA Project Number: A07-0012 <br />Grant Notice to Proceed Date: July 1, 2007 <br />Total ACTIA Funds Awarded to Project: $ 111,000 <br />Total Project Cost: $ 111,000 <br />Project Sponsor Matching Funds: <br />Amount Source <br />$0 NA <br />Percentage: Total ACTIA Funds Awarded to Project/Total Project Cost: 100.0 <br />Project Description: <br />In general, the Project consists of preparing a pedestrian and bicycle master plan for the City <br />of Pleasanton as described in the project application submitted by the Project Sponsor to <br />ACTIA. <br />Specifically, the Project will develop a Plan that covers the entire city of Pleasanton and <br />includes: <br />• a survey of existing pedestrian and bicycle facilities, <br />• review of existing planning and policy documents, <br />• analysis of needed improvements for connectivity and safety, <br />^ setting of goals, policies, and objectives, <br />• education and encouragement programs to promote walking and biking, <br />• detailed, prioritized recommendations for projects to be undertaken, <br />^ implementation plan including schedule, estimated costs, and analysis of funding <br />sources, and <br />• design guidelines. <br />The Master Plan will include all the elements of an effective Pedestrian Plan, as described in <br />the "Toolkit for Improving Walkability in Alameda County". The Sponsor will ensure that <br />the Master Plan is compatible with the coutywide birycle and pedestrian plans. Special <br />emphasis will be placed on improving walkability in areas of countywide significance such as <br />transit centers and activity centers. <br />The City will form a Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, consisting of local <br />residents, to provide input on the Master Plan development. Additionally, several <br />community meetings will be held to obtain public input, and the Sponsor will coordinate <br />with neighboring jurisdictions. <br />BikePed-Cycle3-A070012-Pleasanton-MasterPlan.doc Page 9 of 18 <br />
