14 <br />THE CITY OF <br />n i f .~~ 1 nt <br />PL~~S~NTONo CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />June 5, 2007 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION WITH THE ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY FOR <br />ALLOCATION OF MEASURE BBICYCLE/ PEDESTRIAN COUNTYWIDE <br />DISCRETIONARY FUNDS AND EXECUTION OF A GRANT FUNDING <br />AGREEMENT <br />SUMMARY <br />The City of Pleasanton has been awarded a grant of $111,000.00 for preparation of a <br />Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan. This grant money is provided by the Alameda <br />County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) through the Measure B <br />Bicycle/Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary Program. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution (Attachment 1) authorizing the Director of Public Works to submit an <br />application to ACTIA for $111,000.00 for the preparation of a Pedestrian and Bicycle <br />Master Plan for the City of Pleasanton and authorizing execution of a grant funding <br />agreement. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The preparation of a Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan will take a minor commitment <br />of staff time over the length of the project (5-10 hours a week) for the six-month Master <br />Plan process. This grant does not require matching funds from the City of Pleasanton. <br />
