6. Improving Pleasanton's Energy Supply <br />a. Deploy photovoltaics and renewable power generation to the maximum extent <br />feasible. <br />b. Strive to make Pleasanton more energy self-sufficient. <br />c. Develop programs to build local control, where consistent with the policies of <br />Pleasanton's Energy Plan. <br />d. Evaluate opportunities for purchasing and/or developing wind power projects in <br />the Altamont Pass. Work with the Alameda County Waste Management <br />Authority and others to explore joint venture opportunities for wind power. <br />e. Support environmentally responsible distributed power generation. <br />f. Evaluate municipal electricity utility or authority opportunities and options for <br />Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley, keeping economic considerations in mind. The <br />evaluation(s) should include community aggregation opportunities. <br />g. Evaluate membership in power cooperatives a <br />h.
