r <br />Commends <br />This 5`s day of June 2007 <br />WHEREAS, over half a million boys and girls are members of School Safety Patrols in more than <br />50,000 schools throughout the country; and <br />WHEREAS, the School Safety Valet Patrol, an element of Rides to School, Pleasanton's school <br />traffic calming program, is an integral part of the solution to help manage traffic in <br />and azound schools; and <br />WHEREAS, members of the safety valet patrol pledge to perform their duties in a safe and <br />responsible manner as well as set an example for their peers; and <br />WHEREAS, students aze being recognized at each participating school, for exemplifying <br />outstanding performance as a safety valet patrol member, based on the following <br />criteria: <br />6? Reports to duty regularly on assigned days; <br />~ Displays good behavior and follows the rules during safety valet duty; and <br />~ Displays leadership and Community of Character traits during safety valet duty. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />recognizes and commends Jessica Medina for exceptional service as a 2006-2007 Safety Valet <br />Patrol Member of the Yeaz at Donlon Elementary School. <br />Jennifer Hosterman, Mayor <br />Cindy McGovern, Vice Mayor <br />Matt Sullivan, Councilmember <br />Cheryl Cook-Kallio, Councilmember <br />Jerry Thorne, Councilmember <br />
