7 <br />THE CITY OF <br />-~- ~ CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />j~L£~S~NTONo <br />June 5, 2007 <br />Parks and Community Services <br />TITLE: APPROVE CITY GRANT PROGRAM RECIPIENT COMPLIANCE PLAN <br />SUMMARY <br />In September 2006, a Subcommittee comprised of representatives from the Civic Arts, <br />Human Services, and Youth commissions began to explore opportunities to modify the <br />City Grant application packet to better identify program protocols, address project <br />guidelines, and simplify the application. Since January 2007, the Subcommittee has <br />continued meeting to develop comprehensive Annual City Grant Compliance Protocols, <br />with proper documentation and timelines specified for all grant recipients, for review and <br />approval by the City Council. <br />COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br />The Youth, Human Services, and Civics Arts commissions recommend that the City <br />Council approve the proposed City Grant Program Recipient Compliance Plan. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff concurs with the recommendation of the Youth, Human Services, and Civic Arts <br />commissions. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />Approval of the proposed Compliance Plan will not have a fiscal impact on the overall <br />City Grant Program. <br />
