CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-322 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE Z-89-142, THE <br /> APPLICATION OF SPIEKER PARTNERS FOR <br /> DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Spieker Partners has applied for design review <br /> approval to construct an additional 65,800 sq. ft. <br /> of retail floor area (Phase II) within the existing <br /> 15.96 acre Rose Pavilion Shopping Center located on <br /> the east side of Rosewood Drive at Santa Rita Road; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is CC (Central Commercial) <br /> District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Negative Declaration was adopted for Rose <br /> Pavilion Phase I. Phase II developments were <br /> considered within the scope of that initial <br /> environmental analysis, therefore this application <br /> does not constitute a new project under CEQA and no <br /> new environmental documents accompany this <br /> application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 24, <br /> 1989, the Design Review Board approved this project <br /> after considering all public testimony, relevant <br /> exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br /> concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this application was referred to the city Council <br /> for their review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of June 6, 1989, the City Council <br /> reviewed the project and made appropriate comments <br /> and referred this matter back to the Design Review <br /> Board for further review of the elevations and <br /> landscaping plans; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Design Review Board reviewed this project at <br /> its meeting of July 5, 1989 workshop, recommending <br /> approval of the changes made by the applicant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held July 18, 1989 and <br /> testimony taken concerning the proposed project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
