CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 99-125 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE <br /> REPORT OF THE PLEASANTON DOWNTOWN <br /> ASSOCIATION ADVISORY BOARD, DECLARING THE <br /> INTENTION TO LEVY AN ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR <br /> 1999-2000 AND ESTABLISHING A TIME AND PLACE FOR <br /> THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED <br /> ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore established a Downtown Pleasanton <br /> Business Improvement District, the purposes and boundaries of which are set forth <br /> in Chapter 5.28, Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore appointed a Pleasanton Advisory Board for <br /> the Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Advisory Board has prepared a report for the fiscal year 1999-00, which <br /> report is on file with the City Clerk, which report satisfies the statutory <br /> requirements of Streets and Highways Code §36533 and which report is attached <br /> to this resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The report of the Advisory Board is accepted and approved. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council intends to levy and collect assessments within the District for <br /> 1999-00, for the proposed improvements and activities as provided in Chapter <br /> 5.28 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code and as provided in the attached report. <br /> <br />Section 3: The public hearing on the levy of the proposed assessment for 1999-00 is set for <br /> Tuesday, October 26, 1999, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 200 Old <br /> Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, at which time protests to the assessment <br /> may be made, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing <br /> as provided in §36534 of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
