at the option of the employee. Compensatory time shall accrue at the rate of one and one -half <br /> (1 -1/2) times the overtime hours worked. Compensatory time off which accrues in excess of <br /> fifty (50) hours must be liquidated by monetary payment. All monetary payments for overtime <br /> must be paid not later than the next biweekly payroll following the pay period in which the <br /> overtime was worked. Utilization of compensatory time off shall be by mutual agreement <br /> between the department head and the employee. Upon termination, the employee shall be paid <br /> for his/her unused compensatory time. <br /> Once a year, confidential employees may be paid for all accrued compensatory time. Said <br /> payments shall be made on the first pay day in December. Written requests for payment must <br /> be made by the employee fifteen (15) days in advance of the first pay day in December. <br /> 5.2 Work On A Holiday <br /> In addition to their regular compensation, management employees assigned by their supervisor <br /> to work on a holiday date listed in Section 7.1(1) shall have their administrative leave <br /> entitlement credited in an amount equal to one and one half times the hours worked. This <br /> provision does not apply to the Deputy Fire Chief nor the Fire Division Chief. <br /> Confidential employees assiened by their supervisor to work on a holiday shall be compensated <br /> for the holiday hours worked. Compensation shall be made either by monetary payment equal <br /> to twice that compensation established for regular time or by equivalent time off. The method <br /> of compensation shall be determined by the supervisor. <br /> See Appendix D for policies applicable to fire personnel. <br /> Section 6. Health and Welfare <br /> 6.1 Medical Insurance - Active Employees <br /> Management and confidential employees and their eligible dependents shall be offered <br /> enrollment in one of the following health plans: Kaiser S -1, or Health Net. The maximum <br /> monthly City contribution toward the premiums of the health plan selected by the employee <br /> shall not exceed six hundred dollars ($600.00). <br /> 9/1/99 Page 4 of 26 <br />
