CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0.99-107 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SANTOS RANCH ROAD <br />MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton, as successor to the Pleasanton Township County Water <br />District (PTCWD), owns fee title to Santos Ranch Road, which was constructed <br />with funds from the PTCWD Assessment District #3 Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, Santos Ranch Road has been a private roadway since the County of Alameda and <br />the City of Hayward abandoned their public right-of--way in the road; and <br />WHEREAS, Santos Ranch Road is used by private residents, property owners, commercial <br />lessees, the City, and the East Bay Regional Park District; and <br />WHEREAS, all the parties which use the road have agreed upon a regular schedule of <br />maintenance, with the majority of the financing to come from the surplus funds in <br />the PTCWD Assessment District #3 Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section l: Approves the Santos Ranch Road Maintenance Agreement, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto, and directs the City Manager to execute all appropriate <br />documents. <br />Section 2: Appropriates from the Pleasanton Township County Water District Assessment <br />District #3 Fund $35,000 to pay for regular maintenance of the road, and <br />$21,589.84 to reimburse property owners for past expenses related to the <br />construction of the gate and road maintenance. <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
