CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-226 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADDING ITEM TO AGENDA REGARDING <br />HORSEDRAWN CARRIAGES ON MAIN STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 11, 1990, Pat Lane <br />representing the Downtown Association, requested the City <br />Council to suspend enforcement of the "Robert C. Philcox <br />Memorial Horse Traffic Ordinance" (Ordinance 846) to <br />allow the Downtown Association to provide horsedrawn <br />carriage rides as part of the Christmas celebrations on <br />December 22, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that this item arose after the <br />agenda was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the <br />agenda upon a two-thirds vote of the Council that the <br />item arose after the time the agenda was posted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Based on the findings set forth above, consideration <br />of allowing horse traffic on Main Street is hereby added <br />to the December 11, 1990 agenda for Council consideration <br />and action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 11, 1990 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Michael H.
