Resolution No. 90-221 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the municipal election consisted of electing one Mayor, <br />two Councilmembers, and approving/disapproving two <br />initiatives. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The following person is hereby declared elected to <br /> the office of Mayor of the City of Pleasanton: <br /> <br />Kenneth R. Mercer is elected for one full term (two <br />years) from and after December 4, 1990, and until his <br />successor is elected and qualified. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The following persons are hereby declared elected to <br />the office of City Councilmember of the city of <br />Pleasanton: <br /> <br />Ben Tarver and Dorothy N. Scribner are elected for one <br />full term each (4 years) from and after December 4, 1990, <br />and until their successors are elected and qualified. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br /> Initiative Measure M is approved, amending the General <br />Plan of the City of Pleasanton (a) to designate the land <br />within the Ridgelands as "Public Health and Safety", and <br />(b) to have land uses in the Ridgelands be studied by a <br />citizens committee and then voted upon by the people of <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 4: Initiative Measure N is defeated. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
