CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-210 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PERMITTING CITY OF Pr~ASANTON TO JOIN IN <br />AMICUS BRIEF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />there is pending in the Fourth District Court of Appeal <br />of the State of California, the matter of <br />Garat/Arlinqton Heiqhts v. City of Riverside, in which <br />important issues concerning general plans and <br />initiatives will be decided; and <br /> <br />the law firm of Freilich, Stone, Leitner & Carlisle is <br />writing the amici curiae (friends of the court) brief <br />in which other cities may join at no cost; and <br /> <br />the City Attorney has recommended to the City Council <br />that the City of Pleasanton be added to the amici <br />curiae brief, at no out-of-pocket expense to the local <br />taxpayers. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />The City Council hereby approves joinder of the <br />City of Pleasanton in the amici curiae brief in <br />the case of Garat/Arlinqton Heiqhts v. City of <br />Riverside, pending in the Fourth District Court of <br />Appeal of the State of California, such <br />participation to be at no out-of-pocket expense to <br />the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
