CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-207 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADDING AN AGENDA ITEM REGARDING A <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR CROSSING GUARDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to completion of the Pleasanton Middle School, more <br />children are crossing the busy intersections near the <br />Middle School; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to concerns for the safety of the children it is <br />necessary to proceed with the recruitment of crossing <br />guards for these intersections as soon as possible; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this item arose after preparation of the City Council <br />agenda for November 6, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the <br />agenda upon a two-thirds vote of the Council that the <br />item arose after the time the agenda was posted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Based on the findings set forth above, a resolution <br /> to consider a budget amendment for hiring crossing guards <br /> to assist children attending the Pleasanton Middle School <br /> is hereby added to the November 6, 1990 agenda for <br /> Council consideration and action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, 1990 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br />Mercer <br /> <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Michael H.
