4y$~sA"~~~ CITY of PLEASANTON
~ ~~~ •
`~ ~*~° Planning Commission
+waav s
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DGte ; January 14, 1970
Time : silo PM
Place: Pleasanton Justice Court
P.U.D. AMENDMENT
PUD-69-9,
Continued.
Morrison Homes, Inc. - application to rezonE
from the A (Agricultural) District, that
property generally known as the Orloff ParcE
bounded by Southern Pacific Railroad, Kaiser
Road and Santa Rita Road, said property
described as Parcel 1, Block 1250 of Assess-
or's Map Book 946, said property containing
more or less 94 acres.
It was the request of the applicant, due
to the voluminous amount of data for
presentation and because this concept is
a unique one, that the public hearing be
opened, and presentations made by the
applicant's representative and architect,
and then continue the public hearing to
future meetings, in order to allow the
Commission and the general public to familia
rize themselves with the 'Four Villages'
development proposed for this parcel.
In line with this thinking, the Public
Hearing was opened by Acting Chairman Pons.
Mr. Hugh Magee, representing Morrison Homes,
spoke first, giving the reasons behind his
organization's decision to work up a concept
which would incorporate the four different
types of housing needs.
Next, Mr. Charles Delk, architect for the
proposal, spoke. Rendering were presented
to aid in illustrating his explanation of
the idea.
Mr. Delk did state that there were to be
no rental units in the entire concept.
All together, there will be a total of
13 acres of green area and recreational
spaces. Mr. Delk referred to this concept
of 'Four Villages' as a micro-community.
- 6 -
