CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-202 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE SHORT-RANGE TRANSIT <br />PLAN (SRTP) OF THE LIVERNORE/~M, ADOR VALLEY <br />TRANSIT AUTHORITY (LAVTA) FOR FISCAL YEARS <br />1990-91 TO 1996-97 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is committed to meeting the <br />mobility needs of the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is a member jurisdiction of the <br />Livermore/Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has regularly reviewed for endorsement <br />LAVTA's short-range transit plans; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the current draft SRTP <br />for FY 1990-91 to 1996-97; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> The Short-Range Transit Plan of the <br />Livermore/Amador Valley Transit Authority for Fiscal <br />Years 1990-91 to 1996-97 is hereby endorsed with the <br />following recommendations: <br /> <br />That further evaluation be done to determine the <br />preferred routing of Route 1/5 to link <br />Dublin/Pleasanton with Las Positas College. <br /> <br />That schedule compatibility between LAVTA, Central <br />Contra Costa Transit Authority, and BART be <br />reviewed to ensure transfers can be made at <br />regional transfer interface points. <br /> <br />That any further investigation of consolidation <br />with Pleasanton's paratransit service be conducted <br />with the intent to maintain the existing service <br />level, and that before any action is taken a full <br />public hearing be held before the City Council and <br />the Human Services Commission Transportation <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
